We had a stop over for 24 hours in Hongkong before we headed to Manila for our vacation in 2014. Therefore, we decided not to book a hotel as we planned to tour around Hongkong for a few hours. Then, stay at the airport at around midnight for our departure to Manila, Philippines.
Our tour started by riding the Train(MTR Airport Express) which just takes half an hour from the airport to the Hong Kong’s vibrant City Central. It cost 180 HK$ for same day round trip ticket. We arrive at IFC mall where we rode the train going to Tsim Sha Tsui to tour around the Avenue of Stars. Currently, the Avenue of Stars is closed for maintenance and improvement. It will be open to public by the end of 2018.
If you have limited time in Hongkong, you shouldn’t miss the The Peak. The Peak Tram is very popular with tourists who want to see Victoria Peak or get a bird’s-eye view of the Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour, and Kowloon. It is the quickest and most scenic way to climb the peak. As you travel the 1.4 kilometers, you can relax as you see the sights below. I recommend to take a seat on the right side of the tram, which offers a better view.
Hongkong – a world-class shopping, diverse attractions and a popular destination in Asia. A futuristic, densely populated, strange, mysterious, surreal & inspiring city. In conclusion, it is full of contrasts and therefore a city that naturally arouses curiosity in every person concerned with it.
